fear

Currently exhibiting at Stills, Edinburgh (02 May - 07 June 2025)

As a research artist, I’m drawn to working with found or abandoned materials—glass, wire, metal—objects that have lost their original purpose and are ready to be transformed into something new. My creative process often begins with an emotion that challenges me. I try to respond to it through these reclaimed materials, allowing them to carry a new story.

Fear was a personal attempt to confront my fears and turn them into a sense of curiosity about what might come next. The biggest challenge was capturing the exact moment of breaking: shooting with the camera while simultaneously shattering the glass, freezing that fragile but transformative point in time.

Medium: digital photography, glass.

The artwork photography was created as part of the Putting Ourselves into the Picture project, with the invaluable guidance of the incredible artistic team at Crow+Kow.
